Pigeons are quite common in Italy and people often interact with them, feeding them, letting the pigeons rest on them. This gentleman appears to have brought corn to feed them along a ledge, yet is swatting them away. I'm not exactly sure if it isn't snack time yet or if he has other plans for the corn.⁠
